Robert Boudrie - Area 7 Director Candidate

Communications

Open communications with the membership is essential if the BOD is to be effective at representing your interests as USPSA members. As area director, I would consider it my responsibility to go beyond mere "accessability", and actively seek out member input.

I will do the following if elected to represent you as Area 7 Director:

Annual Report - Send an annual report by U.S. Mail to each Area 7 member. This report would cover my activities on your behalf as area director, including my complete voting record for the year. (funding for mailing this would be subject to USPSA approval)
Annual Meeting - Hold an annual meeting for all Section Coordinator and Club Presidents in conjunction with the Area 7 championship.
Availability - Be available by telephone, fax and email to answer your questions and address your concerns. (508)881-8997 voice and fax until 11PM, Email: rob@boudrie.com
Web Site - Maintain a web site with up to date information on developments affecting USPSA and Area 7 members, including:
  • Upcoming USPSA BOD meetings & agenda items
  • Items I plan on introducing at BOD meetings
  • When there is sufficient advance notice of an upcoming motion, I will include information on how I plan to vote well in advance of the meeting to give Area 7 members time to comment before I cast my vote.
  • A report on every vote I cast and every motion I introduce at BOD meetings (with the exception of "executive session" items which, by USPSA bylaws, any person serving as area director would be prohibited from disclosing)
This new Area Director's Communication Page would be in addition to the current page maintained by Area 7. I will continue to support the existing Area 7 Web page, and invite Area 7's current webmaster to continue in that capacity.
Member Survey - Introduce a motion that USPSA conduct a "member survey" covering various issues facing USPSA, and providing members with an opportunity to rate the effectiveness of the USPSA leadership. In order for such a survey to be meaningful, it is essential that the questions selected address current concerns, and are worded in an unbiased manner which does not influence the response.
In Person Accessability - In addition to attending the Area Championship, I plan on attending matches throughout the area so that virtually all shooters within Area 7 will be able to meet their area director at a local match each year.
