March 9, 2003 and March 23, 2003 Indoor matches at S&W

I am delighted to announce that Judith Lafrenier has arranged for two matches at the Smith & Wesson facility on March 9, 2003 and March 23, 2003. These cost of the match is $25 ($30 with lunch included). Registration begins at 8:00 AM and shooting will start at 9AM. Participation is limited to 80 shooters. My commentary

I have heard a few comments that "$25 is a bit much for a local match.". Under the circumstances, this fee is reasonable. Here's why:

Last year's fee was $20. The organization hosting matches has increased the fee by less than the increase in per-shooter range rent. I can state with certainty that the group hosting this match is not making a financial killing at $25 per shooter.
They have use of five separate indoor ranges, which makes for a "near-outdoor quality" match when there is still snow on the ground.

Given the product offered, and expenses of the host club, this fee is very reasonable. I have already signed up for both matches, and was impressed by the prompt reply I got to my email to Bill Brown at Smith & Wesson.

It also appears that they are pre-squadding, so you should state your preference of squadmates when you sign up.
