Sedro Visit

I visited USPSA Headquarters in Sedro Woolley on June 20 & 21, 2002 to discuss technology issues with the staff, and to learn about how headquarters operates. The visit was most productive, and I will be working with USPSA on several new technology projects as a result of the meetings with headquarters staff.

Since one picture is worth 1000 works, I've attached a few photos of the office. More details on the various staff member's functions may be found at www.uspsa.org (under the "Meet the USPSA Staff" heading).

This is the view of our office from the street. The USPSA office is located on the "main drag" of Sedro-Woolley in what was formerly retail space. No, the air conditioner isn't broken - that fan is in the door because headquaters doesn't have one.
Another view of the USPSA office. Our door is the one on the left.

Barbara handles accounts payable, Front sight advertising, and classification questions.
Our archives are maintained in the basement. (Don't worry - the staff creates a daily off-site backup of the server).
The photo was taken from the front door of the office. The window in back looks into Dave's office, and there is a small converence room behind that. There is a door on the far left rear of this room which gives access to the attic, basement, and server room.
Another view of the USPSA lot. Dave called the realator to report that our sign was down.
The is the lot USPSA purchased. Due to unanticpated additional expenses required to construct a building on this lot, we have entered in to a 5 year lease on our current office space (at a resonable rent), with an option for an additional 5 years.
Robin's main responsibility is the production of Front Sight Magazine.
Ron handles our memberships, and processes all payments USPSA receives at the office.
The USPSA server room. Our main server is a Dell with mirrored 18GB SCSI drives. This room existed before we moved in, and was probably used as a store manager's office during when this was a retail storefront. The windows shown look out over the interior of the office.
Staci has the first desk visitors encounter, and is often the one to take your phone calls.

Dave's office may look luxurious, but it's hotter than the rest of the office on those warm days.
The USPSA store warehouse is maintained in the attice of the office.
